Executive Director Position

The Northside Outreach Center is currently seeking a Executive Director handle key management responsibilities and to report to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, personnel, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, public speaking, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Key Duties Include:

  •  Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the organization.
  •  Supervise and collaborate with organization staff and volunteers.
  • Strategic planning and implementation.
  • Planning and operation of annual budget.
  • Oversee and approve federal and state tax filing requirements.
  • Serve as the NOC’s primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, the media and the general public.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations/churches, and utilize those relationships to forward the NOC’s Mission.
  • Fundraising and developing other revenue sources.
  • Oversee marketing and other communications efforts.
  • Attend organization Board and committee meetings as needed.
  • Establish employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the nonprofit.
  • Review and approve contracts for services.

The candidate must be a self-starter as well as a motivated and passionate individual with the ability to multitask in a variety of areas. A college degree and/or 2-3 years in the nonprofit field is preferred. The candidate must possess the ability to provide both visionary and hands-on involvement and must be able to provide spiritual leadership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills also required. Organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation

Experience in management level and administration in nonprofit, public administration or social services field is strongly desired. Candidates with a strong background in fundraising and development are preferred.

This position is full time with 30-40 hours per week that are flexible. An additional $3,000 health stipend will be included in the annual salary.

Pay: $37,000.00 per year
